great racer, tremendous talent but I was never a fan.

Crashing Prost was a deal breaker.

I have very fond memories of watching Ayrton qualifying at Silverstone one year and coming into the complex at flat chart, running wide down the grass and still keeping his foot in

Top top driver, and did he cross the line on occasions?

He certainly did but don't all F1 race car drivers at some point?

One of the great eras of F1 was the rivalry between Senna and the Professor - with Mansell and Piquet close behind.

My racing coaches always drummed into me that 'smooth is fast' - a Prost mantra. But you still can't step away from the magic that Senna made on the track...

Unreal talent.  F1 was so much fun back then when the driver REALLY mattered........... ...........

I actually prefer today's F1..

I remember watching that race. I wasn't a Senna fan but I felt pretty awful for a bit. That was a terrible weekend. Roland Ratzenberger too.

If you enjoy F1, the documentary 'Senna' is a good look at a fascinating era... :thumb:

It is, I do think it has a wee bit of a slant but I suppose that is inevitable.
