My Custom doesn't have the auxiliary lights, so how do I attach a touring windshield? Is there a bracket made for this?

I think you have to buy the bracket for the windshield and it’s fairly pricey as the guzzi tall windshield is over 600 bucks!

I already bought a touring windshield, I just need the bracket. However, I can't seem to find one that's made for this purpose.

There is a bracket supplied if you purchase the screen for the Custom.  Otherwise, I think they're identical.

I bought the larger screen but didn't like it, I prefer the fly screen.  Perhaps you could ask a dealer to source the bracket separately, or get hold of one and fabricate a copy.  I'd offer mine if you were a bit closer.

There seems to be no info on that bracket no matter where I look. Here's the standard photo of the mounting hardware, no sign of that bracket.

If that bit is a stock part on the Touring I've probably got one off the wreck. It might need a bit of panel beating and paint but if you're interested I can have a look? Shouldn't be too pricey to post. Usual thing, make a donation to MSF.

No, I keep it in case a renter wants the big screen.  It has never happened, but I know it will as soon as I sell it.

I believe that one of the members on this board made a bracket as well as supplied a drawing when he removed the spotlights from his Touring, since the lower shield mount also mounts the spots.  Can't remember who it was.

How about the top mounting?  The one for the Custom fits over a rubber grommet arrangement which is attached to the top yoke.  Does the touring shield include these?

Yes, the shield I got has the rubber grommets for the top mount, they appear to be the same as for the touring model.

There is a lower bracket supplied. You use that if you don't have the auxiliary lights.

Only if you purchase the screen to fit the Custom.  As I understand it, it this case the screen is sourced from a Touring.  No lower bracket.

Yes, exactly! A Guzzi dealer investigated it for me and found out from the factory that the part is only available in the parts kit, not separately. So, if anyone has one for sale, I'm interested.

That makes sense. But it begs the question of why. If I owned a Touring, the only reason I would be buying a new shield would be because the original got damaged in some way, since it comes with it. Any other model, Custom/Eldorado/etc. you ought to be ordering the shield with a complete kit. In any case, they're stupid money, but I cannot believe the extra bracket makes a huge jump in price. Not to mention a dealer ought to know this.
