And that should , of course, been part of Huzos experiment having the identical bikes with different motors together, esp in the nt.
NOW I GET IT...!Oh, and I should stop saying it meant nothing..It was decent of Mr Brooking to trust me with his Stelvio.. Thank you Paul.
The 2VPC Big Blocks may be old tech and down on ponies when compared to the new variants, but they're understressed, easy to work on, economical to own, and sound great. There have been times when I wished for a little more power, but those times were few. The extra 20 (or so) ponies would be nice, but not at the cost of the additional weight carried by the nouvo-Calis. The Stelvios, Grisos, and Norges are pretty great, but they were great with 2VPC BB motors also (well, the Grisos and Norges were, anyway). Out in Cedar Vale, 2VPC BB Guzzis were clearly the most common machine, despite the newest one present being 11 years old (my Vintage) and the older ones dating back to the seventies. I'm sure that a guy like Pete Roper is more than ready to move on from the older designs, but I find the two-valve BBs have a charm that rivals the most endearing classics. A Harley or an old Airhead have got nothing on my old "ditch pump."
