 So I really wanted a v85tt but the dealer network is really thin in my area and this was 10 miles down the road from me. I traded the Zero for it straight across with a center stand and hand guards, no money out of my pocket. Can't wait for better weather, it was 37 and really windy when I rode it home, so far I am really loving it. 2022 Triumph 850 sport,

still have the convert so I haven't left the brand

It's a free country, ride what you want.  Most people here like all bikes.  The Triumph triple engines have become iconic (for good reasons).  They pack a good mix of torque and high revving, seem to be very durable.  If not for MG, I could be interested in one.

My '06 955i tigger has been a great bike. But the Tenere 700 is even BETTER! Guzzi has nothing new I'm interested in and the lack of support just puts the icing on the cake for me.

The dealer I got the 850 from finally just got a tenere 700 a couple of weeks ago and was the first one I have seen in the wild, it was white and looked like a lot of fun and well built, a kid had come from Lincoln and was loading it up already to take it back home. I'm hoping it will warm up a little bit here so I can get the 850 out today, but it is 32 and very windy at the moment.

41 here in SWMo. I probably won't ride today. I did get in about 260 mi yesterday down in Arkansas

Nice bike. My Audace became too heavy and awkward for me. I always said I would never own a Triumph due to working on and having ridden friend's back in the '70s. My other bike is now a Bonneville T120. Never say never.

Youll love the 850, comfortable, a good all rounder.
I have a 2020 tiger 900 gt low thats just clicked over 40,000 km.
Good fuel range and comfortable enough to use it, 850 km a day is easy.

Traded in your Zero eh? I saw one for the first time yesterday at our local power sports dealer..A 2021 for $22K, which I think is the same price as a new 2022. All I could do was sit on it. It was OK. Same problem I have with all bikes of the shape, handle bars too far away and the hump of the "tank" pressing into my stomach. Would still like to try one.

AJ I don't know what happened to my reply but the Zero you saw was the high rate end one, mine was just underneath that one, but if you ever test ride one be prepared to hang on when you crack the whip because it is pure torque from bottom to top end and will blow your mind

The Triumph triple is a great engine. I had a 2014 Trophy SE with the 1200 triple and it was a great bike. I was retired and put 80,000 miles on that bike in three years. It ran and rode as good then as it did new. Congrats on the new ride.

Well I was hoping to get the Triumph out and start learning more about it but mother nature wants me to just stare at it in the shop 3 inches of wet and heavy snow and still coming down.  Thanks for the replies, I really think I made a good decision on this one 😅

I looked at the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 this week.  Wish they would have put Cruise Control on it. 

Rode my buddy's Tenere 700.  Nice bike, but very tall seat and not as fun in the curves as a street focused adventure bike.

Triumph makes nice bikes.  The are pricey but they do tend to have higher spec components.
