 A few of those have found their way onto the street..In NY, Vermont and some other states without titles on older vehicles you can get them registered.. Rather than fitting a charging system, some just use a lithium iron battery and LED lights ...

It always amazes me that in the UK, the home of the storied overweening regulatory state where they will fail your bike on a safety inspection for tiny little things ....

... you can register a racebike with NO lights at all for the road "For Daylight Use Only".    I see bikes there all the time with no lights, and a license plate .....
