V7 Check Engine Light
« on: May 25, 2025, 02:14:01 PM »
Hi, I have a 2012 V7III Special
Since new the check engine light has been coming On intermittently, usually goes away if i turn the engine Off then re-start but today I couldn't get it to clear at all.
It spent 3 months at the dealer last year but they never tracked it down.
Bike seems to run ok with the light On.
Does anyone have a list of all the different faults that will cause a check engine light light?
Where is the trouble shooting connector on the bike, i'm sure I will need an adapter cable.

Thanks in advance

Roy

It's a 17 v7III. They ate O2 sensors. Simplest thing to do is get a Beetle map. He turns off the O2's. Or use tuner pro to turn them off. Thas is what I did 1000 miles ago and it runs great on the 17. On my 16 I used the Beetler map. Problem solved.
