I am planning on being there, probably riding a Blue BMW 1150RT.  I think I will be with a small group that has done this ride before.  I like the museum and recommend anyone who has not been there give it look.  Mike

Oh, darn. I've wanted to go to that Curtiss Muse`. I used to go to the earlier location semi frequently. Glenn Curtiss is only slightly known for his genius as a design engineer and builder of fast motorcycles and innovative flight controls.

RANT: In the 60+ years I've traveled extensively throughout western NYS I have yet to find a pamphlet for the Curtiss Muse` in the display racks for travelers @ fuel stops, hotels and information centers.  R3~

I'll be on a dark green 96 Ducati Monster.. Look for a thinner older guy with messy hair who walks crooked with one shoulder higher than the other..

Dear Rough Edge: With due respect. Were you ever a mail man? Just sayin'.
Never going past the Curtiss Muse` when it's been open; and since I've spent some time in military air transports, I've wondered if the one 'out front' has notable providence.   R3~

Not sure how notable it is other than being a C-46 Commando built by Curtiss-Wright. Surprised you never found it open. Then I have only visited on weekends.

Pete

I will look for you at the show.  Should be there before noon and the group usually heads out for a late lunch.  Mike.

Nope, a construction electrician, but I didn't wear a heavy tool pouch.. ..I was born with a slightly crooked spine....I ride crooked on the bike too....I'm  exaggerating of course, well, a little ...

Rough Edge, others: https://www.amazon.com/Seventy-Years-Motorcycle-Up-Hilt/dp/1401056687

I knew Herb Foster Gunnison (there were several, dating back to the early 1800's), and his wife Joan rather well. Herbs' spine was like a snakes' in full escape thrust. A few of us would gather nonchalantly to catch him, when he rode in on his bmw 'Gull Wing'. We'd act surprised when he stopped between us.

He literally threw his 1st draft @ me. It was a totally different book of things he had to say. The Amazon listed book was published a few years later after Herb's passing by Joan, his wife of many years. Joan and Melissa Holbrook Peirson (the perfect vehicle & john ryan, the man who stopped for nothing)were @ a bmw rally in Heath, MA offering their books several years ago. I've lost track of Joan.

I'm impressed by any and all who continue to ride despite physical limitations; be they moderate or serious.   Good fortune,  R3~

Well I made the show at noon riding with a small group of five bikes.  The highlighted brand was Hodaka and there were some nice examples scattered around.  High humidity and temps around ninety were a little more than I like.  The museum being air conditioned was a nice break and there were more bikes inside check out.  Rough Edge, I did see a Ducati in green but there were a lot of old guys with messy hair walking a bit crooked.  I had the BMW parked next to a snowmobile on far left side of the parking lot.   Mike

Me on the Ducati and Pete on his Gladiator Guzzi got there just before 11....Ya, lots of bikes to look at and yes it was very warm...We talked to Pete S and some other guys for a bit and then around 1 pm we headed into town for a food and a drink... We left for home around 2 and it was a hot ride...We hustled down  two lane back roads at 70-80 MPH ,some of them were recently tarred and stoned.. I had my visor up to get air, never mind the wind blast...Then we ran into wet roads , just missed a down pour ....The slight road spray felt good..
