Old man problem..(A little premature...!)
« on: October 24, 2018, 09:16:47 PM »
Got the plate...
Waiting for the bike..!

The plate is bought and paid for, arriving in one week (as did all the others)
The above image is a computer generated version.
The guy at Vic Roads (DMV), asked me if I needed an appointment to come in and have the plate assigned to the bike..
I mentioned that my bike hasn't been built yet in all likelihood, but I'm assured by the luminaries that it'll be here one day..!

Mine will have the black removed from the drive train a la Norge.
Anthracite grey frame and red cycle parts in the same livery as a Ducati Multistrada or such..
I can't come at the Ronald Mc Donald scheme..

I did it three times with the Norge and once with a GS Dusty and it worked out..
The only water is around Singapore and some other place.
More realistic would be
Go to Mandello and get one from Agostini's.
Ride all over the place as usual.
Ship it home (as usual.)
Would save 1,600 Aussie dollars on shipping over...

Go for the adventure of a lifetime.  Get from Agostini's.  Put the first 500 hundred miles on it in Italy.  Get it service then ride East.  1st stop would be in Eastern Greece.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.

You can always continue on to Portugal or England

Then swing by Eastern side of US...tread north or south before you head to Vancouver/LA then home...? :P

I looked at the map.  You'd hit a dead end after Turkey.  Syria/Iran/Afghanistan.  Major road blocks.  That kind of fun you don't need.  Safer route would be north into Russia etc. going East or as suggested going West into the U.S., Canada, Alaska then ferry over to Russia.  Head South through China and Vietnam.  Safer.
