So I can chuck it in this great chunk O munt.



It's done over 100,000 kms so I'm tempted to give the heads a bit of a freshen up and re-ring it at the same time but I'm so lazy I probably won't bother. If I do that I'll probably find myself doing the gearbox as well and then it will all become a bit too much like hard work....

I just opened an identical package for my '04 EVT.  I'm a master at not getting into the gearbox at the same time.  I'll show you how, if you want.  Or you can look at U-Tube.  From what I hear, ALL the videos are about not getting into Guzzi gearboxes, some at the same time, and some at any other time.
