safe revs ? high score today but might have revved higher before I fitted a tacho
Any idea what rpms where the torque/power graph intersect?
It should be 5252 rpm. Creators of false dyno readings often forget this when they fabricate an enhanced dyno reading.
interesting , i have a digital programmable ignition on my lario, with the limiter set at 8000 rpm, the only times i run into the limiter is when i miss a gear.anyway, beyond 7500 rpm the power drops,
box on mine sweet as, haven’t missed a gear yetmore likely I strip the shaft coupling and get a false neutral !unlikely to use 8500 in 4th or 5th but lower gears get a hiding power doesn’t drop like stonemight be my zorst, only real mod from stdtorque curve interesting can bimble through towns in top pulls cleanly from nothing but for fun ,work the box .is definitely a mr hyde in there , such a shame they gave up with this motor, should have become the v7 but what do I know and how come it took me 30 + years to catch on ?
Once the engine got over 5000rpm it smoothed out completely and it was hard to judge the revs.
Yeah, it's a sweetheart. Old timey dealer and wrench Ace Mallot told me over revving was the cause of many's demise. Above 5K it just keeps getting better and better until it isn't. I loved the character of the Lario engine, but the Aero engine was too fascinating to pass up.
