+6 HP for the V7 and V9

I went to the local Guzzi shop here in OKC to kick tires.  Don shares a shop with the Colvin Vintage Flat Trackers.  Eric Colvin was telling me that they developed some slip on mufflers that give the new small blocks about 6HP increase on their DynoJet.  Basically makes a V7 run like a V9, and V9 run that much better.  Power is good a across the broad power band. 

I am not here to verify claims or to say Eric is better than the established Guzzi tuners or to start a dumpster fire.  But I did tell him I would post it and let riders here know.  I am not a smallblock guy and have no dog in the fight.  I like my local guys that have helped me out and want to pass it on.

Wonder where the the freed up HP is on the power curve. If it’s at peak who cares. If it’s in the low or even better yet the mid range then it might be something to get excited about if prices reasonably.

Definitely need to see the dyno run from a stock bike and then from a modified bike to see the difference.

i have found that most of these gains cost so much you might as well buy the next bike up the power curve instead of eking out every last HP out of the current bike.  But hey, some people have to have the fastest pinto in the parking lot.
