W/O using googlefu , what is the most aerodynamic production car ever built ? I'm guessing the Honda Insight is at the top of the list .

Volkswagen XL1. Limited production, but still "production".

Man I love all of these. That VW would suit me just fine.

Back in 2014, at the famous Barrett-Jackson car auction, I saw and sat in this 3-wheeled ELEO.  They were supposedly going to be manufactured in Phoenix and retail for about $8500.

Don't know what ever happened to them, but I suspect the many ELECTRIC vehicles coming out and to market will now surpass what they were trying to achieve...

the Citoren DS, argued by many to be the single most advanced leap in production vehicles in a single model.

My late father always liked these...1963 Studebaker AVANTI

...me?  Not so much, although the design was arguably very interesting...

I think the Avanti was just wonderful.  That and the '53 Starlight Coupe.

I've never ridden in either one but they were styled way ahead IMO.
