1000 S "big valve" on MGNOC Classifieds
« on: March 05, 2019, 12:41:45 PM »
I saw this beauty on MGNOC classifieds, looks like a sweet deal to me, but I always thought these went for well over 10K? Why so cheap? also just below it, i saw a 1973 , one owner ,V7 sport for 6k! What is going on here, I thought these sold for much more? Has the bottom fallen out of the used Guzzi market? Should we start buying these  up as an "investment"? Im so confused! :azn:

Buying motorcycle for investments is a monumental gamble. What’s hot today is not tomorrow.

The cool vintage stuff to the baby boomers is of little interest the the gen x. Couple that with motorcycling on a decline you better off buying scratch off tickets.

If you contact the owner, I think you'll find that it has sold for quite a bit more than its list price.

It looks like it sold. I went back to look at the add, and it had been removed.

It ain't got the green frame.      That and the green stripes add $10,000 - $15,000.

Is that [even remotely] true?  I always like the orange stripe ones myself.

No way.  I like the orange better.  Less of them.

850S?

My thought exactly.  OTOH, the seller is right - it's rare!
