Brembo Master cylinder ball bearing
« on: March 26, 2019, 04:24:24 AM »
Hi, like a fool I have lost the front brake master cylinder micro switch ball bearing while changing the micro switch. I was wondering if anyone knew the ball size? It's off a 2000 Nevada but appears common on many Guzzis of that era.
Cheers, Mick

Gawd I hated that thing. Best thing I did with that on my Jackal (after futzing with multiple micro-switch and ball replacements) was to ditch it for a pressure switch! Something to consider if you can't find a ball or if you find the stupid thing starts sticking!

Yeah, gotta ask Brembo, WTH were you thinking
Not familiar with the Nevada version, but maybe a BB will work? Or maybe two together?
If not call MG Cycle, have them send one. In an envelope, not a 5x5 shipping box

Any decent hardware store will have one. It's not even metric. From memory  it's 3/16" diameter. Might be smaller..

It doesn't need to be a ball, I've used a piece of welding rod with the ends rounded if I can't get a ball to work. 3/16" sounds right.

According to part list (page 9) it is part no: 092295708 and the size is Ø5mm.

3/16" = 4,76mm

Thanks all. I'll grab a few 5mm BBs and put the fidley thing back together. Bound to lose a few of them in the process
