02 california spark plug?

OK, so should they be Bp6es, or bpr6es? The ones I got from MG were BP6es, but the ones coming out were BPr6es. Does the bike need the resistor plugs? It has the stock wires on it.

I asked the same thing about my bike. Factory calls for BPR and the stock caps are resistor. But....From what I have learned is that you should either have resistor plugs or caps, not both.

I happened to call NGK a few moths ago about another question with platinum plugs, since I had him on the phone, he said that having both is fine, but all that is needed to suppress interference is one or the other.

You should be fine with the BP. But, I did go with BPR.

I have heard that also. I wasn't really sure if the stock wires were resistor or not though.

You will not be fine with both. Too much resistance leads to premature coil failure. And on some bikes having both will result in total failure run due to weak spark.

The wire ends are marked 5K ohms.  It doesn't seem to have a removable resister cap per say...
