Just ran across this 3 days ago. Forwarded to 3 of my pals, (we are all long time fans). There is so much gold packed into this promo film.

Pretty funny.

Fun fact, Chrysler was barred from selling camper trucks as part of the bankruptcy deal in the 1980s. If you see a Dodge camper, it is pre 1980s bankruptcy.

Bob Lutz (who I’ve met) revived the Dodge truck brand by making the looks polarizing. He pushed a large grill that everyone copied.

That's a classic ad.
I have owned a '91.5 W250 Dodge with a Cummins since about 2005 or so. Bought it from the original owner and I'm now in the process of restoring it. I'm also putting a '77 Alaskan cabover camper on it.

In 2016 I bought a '80 Powerwagon short bed from a guy in town. I offered him $400 and he came back with $200. It was copper with a slant 6 and three speed column shift. It looked surprisingly good from any angle except under the cab  looking up.
Show me a Le Mans IV and I'll show you a Le Mans 1000.

Ya mine has the "vented floorboard" option also..  Luckly floorpans are out there, and pretty cheap.

Apparently, Don was a go-kart aficionado.

Well, an aficionado of something.
He lost the run of himself.

He'd have a difficult time getting to his single bullet that Andy let him have out of his chest  pocket in that photo. :thumb:

Those McCulloch engines were the bomb back in the day. A friend of mine had the same setup on a kart with side pack gas tanks and that thing would scream ripping down the street.
