I'm guessing, could it be the connection for the LED diode for warning lamp?

If one of the conductors is red/black and the other white/black, this would reinforce my suspicions.

one is red with black... the other all black. or maybe brown because my garage is dark. :)

I don't see anything obvious in any schematic that I have.
I know that style connector is used on many sidestand switches. But that shouldn't be there.
Odd.

Ya strange. And its never had anything plugged in to it by the look of the terminals. The bike is a low mile ride also, and hasn't been butchered up, so not something that was added. At first I assumed it was something to do with the ECM diag port...  but researching this bike more, shows that its not..  maybe it is for a plug in error light...

I've heard that some bikes have a connector next to the ECU one, and it connects to the dash functions.  Don't know if that is one of those. First you'd have to have something to connect it to, then the software to read & write. Don't know if anyone's done that yet. Is there anything about it in the Service Manual for the Cali?

Same plug used in the lead for external fuel pump. I have seen same thing on models, a plug like that connected to nothing. Maybe for an option of some kind.

Ya could be. being a stone, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of the higher end EV models.

Could it be the connector for the 12V outlet?

I believe it is a power cord
I removed mine when I had no use for it.
Mine went right back to battery connections

This one goes right into the main harness going to the computer. Next time I get in there Ill check for any voltage.

I worked on an 03 Cali yesterday and it had that same connector with a cap on the plug, no clue. If it's a power plug, must be lower amps cause the wire is thin.

Looked at my 98EV, large computer box, and the one I have is connected to the little red diagnostic lamp.
