Don't need much room because my V9 is not my long distance motorcycle, more like 150-200 day rides.
What do you think of the SW Motech bags?
Barely any hardware left on the bike and reasonable compared to MG and the Hepco "bow mounts"

Thanks!

If no pillion is involved, I prefer a banana bag on the rear seat. Ties onto the pillion footpeg brackets & rear rack/handle & needs no hardware. Quick & easy on & off. Keeps the weight low & over the axle. Wolfman (used to) make a few good ones, the Givi at 60L was way too big, but there has to be other sources out there.

Detachable, lockable, hard saddlebags, in general, are hard to beat, but I have gone a week with just an expandable CORTECH
"Tail Bag"
, also a great option, (IMHO).
Taking less...packing lighter is always better!!

I see no problem with them. The brand has a good reputation. I'd go for it I wanted a retro-type leather bag.

I've tried soft bags over and over again as the years and miles have gone by, but I always ditch them for hard bags, sometimes sooner, sometimes later. Hard bags are just so much more practical and easy to use, FOR ME, on long trips, running around town, running errands, and carrying variously-shaped things.
Maybe I just never spent the money I needed to spend on a top-drawer set, but I don't think I'll go there ....

Yeah - 27L is nothing.
The HB C-Bows with the Orbit hard bags are 21L apiece, and can be had for maybe only $100 more.
Good functional bags that are easy to get in & out of are always money well spent. The bike becomes a viable option for more trips, thus increasing your enjoyment of the bike.
Once you have them, you'll never miss the money.
