V-7II and Memphis Shield

Don't  know if I'm the only one who rides all winter .   When cool weather sets in , I NEED a windshield !
Well , I like the Memphis Shield style and have three of them at different heights .   Trouble is , what about the Fork-Mounting system ?

So , after looking far and wide :  I have found something that works !   

The mount was make to fit four different Honda models :
VF750C
VT750ACE
VT750Sprit
VT1100Shadow.

There is one extra thing .    If you'll notice in the picture , I have spacers about an inch long between the mounts and the shield.   My spacers are two different sizes of fuel line and they do a great job of blocking  vibration that might go from the bike to the shield.   The bottom of the shield touched the turn signals , so I trimmed the shield a little. 

Here is a picture , do with it what you will .    Here is a workable solution to a problem I had and other might have too.

As long as a shield meets your needs it doesn't matter what brand..

I could never deal well with the buffeting created by handlebar mounted windshields, so I have a one piece Olympia riding suit with full liner that I wear when it is really cold.



Otherwise I ride this on cold days.

I just got rid of my main winter bike. My Sportster was set up with a 19" tall Memphis Shades shield, national cycle hand deflectors, and aftermarket lower "chaps" that installed over the crash bars. It made for almost complete dead air from the touring seat.

That said the salt/brine solution they use on the roads around here is awful and was taking a toll, like it had on my Jackal. With a really nice Jeep to turn to I've decided to park my bikes when the brine hits and wait it out.

If the roads are clear and it's below freezing, I'll take the RK.

These face shields would work great with the bikini fairing cutout I have.


My fairing is smooth air and quiet! I gotta hide behind it when it rains/snows/hails - but at speed, everything blows over without getting on my face shield. I like it.
