Charleston,SC guys?
« on: October 21, 2019, 08:05:03 PM »
Hey guys, new member here with a recently acquired '73 Eldorado. Been wanting a Moto Guzzi for a long time. Any other members in the Charleston area? Would be great to meet others who are fans of this great brand of bikes.

Welcome to the forum.  Others will probably chime in.   I'm near the other end of I-26 in Spartanburg.

Welcome LC, to the MG forum. I’m in NC but spend right much time in Myrtle Beach, not far away from your location.

Hey there.  Nice looking Eldo.  I'm in Aiken, Screamday is in Columbia and Laverda Rick is in Savannah.

Winter in the Lowcountry would be a good time to hit a fish camp or something for a daytrip.  I also like to do historical churches, markers, etc down in the Green Pond area as daytrippers.

Hey George. Yeah, it's finally good riding weather down here. I actually grew up in the tiny town of Estill, SC then went to Clemson and SCAD for school. So I'm familiar with a lot of that territory. Plenty of old country roads to run. I've got some minor things to get right on my '73 before any long runs though.

Welcome! Gorgeous old girl you've got there.  :thumb: As a fellow classic Eldo owner, I think you're going to love that bike. There are a few known issues that you'll make to make sure are fully sorted, before you run her too much. Don't hesitate to ask any questions or seek advice. This forum is an amazing resource.
