When I decided to try Land Speed Racing in 2017, I used my old Pro-Twins Guzzi which
had been sitting in a collectors heated warehouse for 25 years. It had been clocked at 142
at Daytona, and sure enough I managed to set a record at 142 on El Mirage dry lake.

Downcourse video of my first run at El Mirage. Got stuck in 4th, only hit 115, but good sound:

cruddy video, great sound of a launch I made at El Mirage:

On board GoPro video. This is what it looks and sounds like to go 140 MPH on dirt.
Here I was only using 4th gear on purpose:

This is what sound looks like. I extracted the audio from my GoPro video, and
then did a spectral analysis on it. After I'm done bogging off the line, you can clearly see
the 4 gears (at 10 seconds, I'm winding out 2nd). I used this analysis to better determine
what RPM I was topping out at. 135HZ*(2cylinder/2 revsperbang)*60=8100RPM:

Here's the link to the higher quality original of that video.  I took this back in 2006 outside the factory:

Incidentally, I'm not sure how that other copy was made (I'm not bothered by it), but the original does sound better.
