And don't be fooled when they tell you the recall has been done. The recall consisted of more flat tappets, mine were flaked 3K miles AFTER the recall was done. 
Yes. There was a cam "recall", official from the factory, which was done on many bikes before they were even sold, and then there is the "flat tappet" face hardening flaking, which was never admitted to by the factory even though NOT ONE SINGLE '08 - '12 8 VALVE has survived any significant mileage without the $2500 part/labor upgrade, and the factory made the change themselves mid-year '12 to rollers without saying anything.
When you think about that, what a bunch of sneaky lowlifes those guys are to do that to their customers. It's a wonder we even buy anything from them ....
