And pick whether you want a properly rollerized one or a ticking time bomb .... 27,000 miles on the West Coast one and no mention of roller tappet conversion.

Mine went 39,000 but it was on the ragged edge (badly discolored tappet faces); no material gone but almost there.   And I've never seen anyone with any more miles on flat 8-valve tappets than mine.

Most are shot well before then.   Caveat Emptor!

And don't be fooled when they tell you the recall has been done. The recall consisted of more flat tappets, mine were flaked 3K miles AFTER the recall was done. :bike-037:

What about my 13 thats for sale?  Not one response in a week or so. Obviously the 47 k miles is  scaring off the masses but to the knowledgable it shouldn't be an issue given the price of $5k or close to it.

Yes.   There was a cam "recall", official from the factory, which was done on many bikes before they were even sold, and then there is the "flat tappet" face hardening flaking, which was never admitted to by the factory even though NOT ONE SINGLE '08 - '12 8 VALVE has survived any significant mileage without the $2500 part/labor upgrade, and the factory made the change themselves mid-year '12 to rollers without saying anything.

When you think about that, what a bunch of sneaky lowlifes those guys are to do that to their customers.   It's a wonder we even buy anything from them ....

The other characteristics that these Stelivios do not solve is they have "long inseam" and not "added lightness".

At my age I've become aware that there's only so many more motorcycles that I will be able to own and even though I might still be fairly strong (for my age) my "shanks" are still short.

The V85TT addresses both of those problems for me.

V65 SP - Finished but the Dyna died so it's non-op'd
