I have sold my 2004 Triumph Thunderbird Sport. It is still in the garage but will be picked up this week by a nice young fellow who is in the early stages of his career in Law Enforcement. The bike ran perfect, took months to set up to my personal tastes, and was a replacement for another TBS I sold years ago and always regretted. The reason for the sale, riding position and age. My knees have been speaking to me now for quite awhile and it had finally gotten to the point the pain was continuous while riding the Sport. I know I will probably be looking at a knee replacement sooner than later so I am going to let "Father Time", win this round. The battle however is far from over, as long as there is a motorcycle with an upright riding position, I will keep riding. Old and new, there are a couple more in the herd that will still get this old arse down the road with a smile, the trips may be shorter but I going to do my best to try and make them more frequent. I will however miss "Black Betty", she was a beauty and would eat any Triumph Twin out there for breakfast.....
