Ventura Luggage Mounting on a MGX
« on: February 04, 2020, 01:42:47 PM »
Yeah, I know. If I wanted to carry a lot of stuff I should have bought a Cali 1400. Please don't remind me! (walked in, there was the MGX, and I was done!! DUH!) Anyway, am trying to find a way to hang a travel bag behind the seat. I've looked at BullDog9's setup but I have the Corbin seat which has limited access to place the folding rack from Isotta which only has like a 10-12 lb carry capacity, AND, to mount it, you have to have the base plate under the stock MG rear seat. So if anyone has any ideas I'm open. Have a capable fabricator close by. Thinking the Ventura  L Bracket might work but wonder if the is enough access to the frame to attach? Don't want to hog-up my beautiful (well sort of)) MGX too badly, and we all know how much the saddle bags carry! You'd have to wear spandex with a thong to carry enough for anything over a few nights. Notice I said YOU, damn sure not me!! Besides, how does one get a thong off after about 450 (or 50 for that matter)) miles in the saddle? Steam?? Power washer?
Thanks in advance (I think))
