I've been a Rush fan since about 1980 when "Moving Pictures" was released.  I was about 12.   At time, I worked quickly to collect all of their albums, which, at that time included, "Rush", "Fly By Night", "Caress Of Steel", "A Farewell to Kings", "Hemispheres", and "Permanent Waves."

I'm fortunate enough to have seen them twice in concert, once during the "Counterparts" tour in 1994, and and once during the "Clockwork Angels " in 2112 2012.

Two of the best concerts I've ever been too.

Some of my favorite songs by them include, "The Trees" (Hemispheres), "Spirit Of the Radio", "Free Will" (both from Permanent Waves, 1980), Limelight, YYZ, Vital Signs (Moving Pictures 1981), Subdivisions and Countdown (Signals).   Those are just a few.   There are too, too, many to list.

All three members are/were phenomenal musicians, and Neal, of course a brilliant lyricist and author.

Sadly, I've not had the time to read any of his books, but, plan on doing so.  My brother had read of all them, so, I can even borrow them from him.

RIP, Neal.

Some of you may be curious as to my “air drumming” reference in my first post. I was not being disrespectful in any way. It’s a reference to the film “Adventures Of Power”, a story about an air drummer seeking recognition. Air drummers universally agree that Rush songs are near impossible to replicate. In the finale, he has to air drum to Tom Sawyer. Hijinks ensue. Neil Peart makes a cameo appearance.

Not sure if you meant to, or even care, but thinking you had more than one photo of his bikes I started clicking the arrow and was like, "wow, Neal has interesting tastes in motorcycles." than your family photos popped up.  "Oops, time to go back to the forum."
