Don't know the owner, but if they really want to sell it at that price (not a bad price), there needs to be a word or two in the advert about the status of the tappets (still flat or converted to roller).

If still flat, $2000 or so needs to come off the price, unless the owner already has the MG-supplied kit in hand, in which case a little less needs to come off.   

Between documenting the tappets to Guzzi, arguing with them about sending a kit, and 8 hours or so of pro shop time (or 24 hours of MY shop time), that conversion can be a real hassle.

Oops, ad sez 2013 in one place (the title), and 2011 in two places (the body of the ad and the link).   A smart Stelvio guy (mine's an old '09) can probably look at it and tell which it really is ..... I don't think the 2011 had the 8 gallon fuel tank yet, so if this one does, it's probably a 2013 and flat tappets are NOT an issue.

I recently sold my 2012 NTX. Had to do the roller conversion. Great bike. At the asking price if one was interested in going with a Stelvio this is a deal you wouldn't want to pass up. Looks to be a 13' for sure as far as I can see and is most likely 98% sure to be a factory roller set up. Wouldn't hurt to check as doing so is really easy to do. Pop off a valve cover and snap a pic.

Tom Hull, who is advertising the bike for his dad, is the "go to" guzzi mechanic in Phoenix.  Just call as ask him, he'll know if it needs converting.

thats because Craigslist charges $5.00 per ad so people post in sporting goods or general , to get around the $5.00 buck charge

I called because my curiosity regarding the year got the best of me.   It is a 2013. 

The owner of the bike is the former owner of Dave's Cycle? or Dave's Moto Guzzi?  They were Guzzi dealers for quite a few years in AZ.  There will be more bikes for sale in the days ahead.  The owner is still riding Moto Guzzi, but is trimming back the herd.
