Bike Week 2020
« on: October 03, 2019, 11:03:46 AM »
Daytona Bike Week is Friday March 6 to Sunday March 15
Several Guzzi folks camp at Lake Monroe campground in DeBary.
https://www.volusia.org/services/community-services/parks-recreation-and-culture/parks-and-trails/park-facilities-and-locations/ecological-nature-parks/lake-monroe-park.stml
They only allow us to book 7 nights per person.
Not a rally, no pin, no cup, no extra fees. Just kinda like a family Pot Luck event.

Mac is leaving this week end for Daytona. I hope to leave next weekend if life doesn't get in the way. I missed the southern trip last fall and looking forward to Florida this year.

I have #8 reserved (not my first choice! was told I needed to be in an RV to reserve any of my old favorites)  "Life" is trying hard to screw me out of bring there again this year, but I haven't called & cancelled yet.  Watching the health of a family member & working around impediments as they rear their ugly heads.
Hope to see y'all there,
Ron

I wonder if there is anything at the Speedway for older bikes?  Twins?  Vintage?

Supercross is on.

Is the Flat track/TT still on? Do they run the 200 anymore?  I looked at the Speedway schedule, same as always, they never mention the twins and olders tuff.

bummer-bummer-bummer, as I feared, family health issues are making going to Fla. for a week a no-go. I'll be calling the park tomorrow afternoon to cancel my reservation of  site #8. If the park is booked up & anyone wants to take that site under my name, call me 4349933841.

I was kind of hoping Moto Guzzi would be at Bike Week with demo's, but I was just told they weren't and even the local dealer in Daytona just dropped them
