Saturday, March 7 9a-5p.

If you're in Eastern PA or NJ, this is well worth coming to see.

There will be a wide variety of bikes on display, including two Crockers, two Brough Superiors, at least one Vincent, and a Flying Merkel.
It is a well curated show, and always has a wide variety of bikes spanning most of the 20th Century.

I've showing three of my own bikes (mk1 Le Mans, R90S, and Ducati Monza), and will be there from about 1pm until the end of the show.

When I dropped my bikes off last weekend, I helped unload two Brough Superiors, an SS80, and a Model 680.

Jas, can you post a couple of pix of your R90S?  Never get tired of seeing another example of this 70s 'superbike.'

Lovin' your R90S.  Actually, all the bikes you showed are beautiful.  How does the Ducati Monza compare to a 1964 Diana?  A good hometown (Charleston WV) friend of mine took the 'Hound' from home to Ghost Motorcycle Sales in NY in 1964 and rode back home on a lovely '64 250cc Diana.  What'd we know back then?  If it had two wheels and an engine, one should be able to ride it anywhere!

Ah, the Diana -- I wish that's the one I had.   The fuel tank on the Diana is so much nicer looking.     But, that's not your question.
Performance-wise, the Monza is likely similar to the earlier Dianas.    22HP is the factory rating of the Monza.   I think the earlier Dianas were about the same.
I've seen numbers as high as 29 HP for the later ones.   The later ones had a larger carb, and I would assume higher lift cam, maybe bigger porting, who knows.    I'll bet that info is somewhere in one of Ian Faloon's books.

My Monza has a 5 speed transmission.    I don't know about the earlier round-tank Monzas (which, IMHO, are better looking).   The earlier Dianas also had a 4 speed transmission, changing over to a 5 speed somewhere around 1965 or 1966.

Late last year, I considered buying a 1961 or 1962 (forget which) Diana that had a 4 speed transmission, but, ended up deciding to conserve cash instead, due to poor business conditions at my job.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that I've been involved with bikes all these years.  How many on the forum would have witnessed a good friend riding home from NY on a 250 cc Diana?  I have so many good memories involving motorcycles.  A few really bad ones, too, but I keep those to myself.
