Original Eldo/Ambo Rear Shocks. Rebuildable??
« on: April 21, 2020, 07:42:28 PM »
Are the original stock shocks on the old Eldo/Ambo rebuildable? Also what brand were they?

I know the spring and all can be removed to clean them up. Is the oil filled tube sealed? Or are they like the Koni/Ikon that you can take apart?

Thank you,
Tom

Of all the times I have looked at his site over the years, I must have missed this topic.

Also what brand were they?

Some I've stripped the paint from over the years say: "LISPA", others "SEBAC".

Thanks for the brand Charlie.

John, I have a set of Ikon 7610 in my cart at MG Cycle and seriously considering them. $310 or the like. I have Koni on my 850 and EVT.

I was considering going through the stock shocks. Change the oil  and do seals while I'm in there. For my riding style the stocks are fine. I would love to have the Ikon's though. The worst part is that I have a few sets of 7610 but the 13.25" ones. Just a tad tall, I had them on my Eldo. Prefer the 12.75".

Thank you,
Tom
