In Lieu of A Rally
« on: May 12, 2020, 07:23:38 PM »
Was really looking forward to a rally this coming weekend. It was close enough and of course had meals so I wouldn’t have to pack a stove, cook gear and a cooler. That would allow me to ride my T and be close to home just in case. But, Missouri is opening up and the campground in Hannibal is open!  So, taking the T down Friday and meeting some other guys. I made them worry about food.

I'm doing the same thing but on the Norton.   We usually meet in Blowing Rock, NC for a three day ride this year, but the motel we stay at isn't open, so we're meeting in Tennessee (Shady Valley) where one of the guys owns a campground where he can sort of do what he wants, and we're making that our base of operations.

Riding down Thursday and coming back Sunday, should be a good 4 days with the guys.   Probably a 1200 mile weekend on the ol' Commando so we'll see how she holds up ....

Great looking T! Gives me hope that somehow I can pack enough st*#f on my MGX. Don't think I'll come close to that set up.
