Info for all 1400 owners.
« on: May 08, 2020, 02:02:21 PM »
I finally got my 2015 1400 tourer squared away with the replacement of the TPS, third one so far.  So I decided to contact the only dealer we have in NC to ascertain if there  are any ECU map updates for these bikes. A dealer rep contacted me and advised there are none at this time.
Just thought you 1400 owners may want to know this info.

I know that my bike did get an update once. Since myself and others may not know the version number of their particular map, vs. the newest map, how would someone know?

I don’t know John, only that I guess at this point since we have no way to know if there is an update other than ask a dealer and hope for an updated answer. I don’t know if  there is no present update means there’s not one necessary or not. He did say if I’m having no issues I should be ok. Who knows when it comes to these bikes as sometimes technical support is challenging.

For any Cali 1400 owner with GuzziDiag, when you connect, have a look in the ECU Information box. If you have IAW7SMHW100 in there, you are unlikely to have any updates available. I'd say nil.

If you have IAW7SMHW310, there may be a slim chance. I say slim, because even with the V3.10 ECU hardware, Guzzi have changed the software at least once, IIRC, and I have not seen any map updates.

A possum playing possum is no big deal.  Find one that can play giraffe, now you got yourself something!

GOOD!  My 2014 California runs great.  I'd hate to be tempted that a software update was out there.
