Loving the V7iii Dash
« on: June 13, 2020, 10:16:01 AM »
I must say the dash on the V7iii is much better than the one on my griso.
The numbers are much easier to read and the select button easier to use
The Griso button on the left hand grip is in an odd place and the characters on the display much too small for me to read without glasses.
Perhaps the Griso was never intended as an old farts bike  :violent1:

Ha! But, nevertheless, you'll soldier in in the face of adversity, grinning inside your helmet all the way. Such courage.

For me the worst thing about any MC dash is - still, after 100+ yrs. There's a dumb a**ed commitment to reflective glass lens. It gets worse as we age and I'm out there where the buss's don't run - anymore. If you can't read it and your blinded by the glare? ***.   R3~

The V85 dash is another level again.  Still learning what is possible with it.

Long live progress!  (possibly the wrong place to say this!).

I agree. Liked the dash on the V7 more than the Bellagio. I use the trip meter as a fuel gauge and really struggle to see it.

What's the button or control on your left handlebar?

aproud1 -- it appears you raised the forks in the triple clamp.  If so how much?  And how does it work for you?  Apologies to KR for thread jack.

you are a very observant guy.
My III is at 12 MM and I'd say perfect. it really improved handling in the mountains. My 2015 is at 15 MM and am happy there too. it also helps the fork to work better I think. Measured where the crack between the fork cap and top of triple tree come together.

I did about 10mm. Made the front end feel tighter, more connected to the road. A noticeable improvement in handling. Cheapest mod I've done yet.

Analog all the baby!  Digital just feels cheap (like the women I go out with).

Of course they probably say that about me.
