Osyssey approved chargers/PSM

As it's getting to be that time though it was in the general interest to post this link.  AGM batteries have a specific need and this list may assist some on getting the correct equipment.  If you read the separate tech bulletin at their web site you'll have gained first hand knowledge that will also prove useful.

FWIW-I use the Ctek "snowflake" 7000 series which has switchable setting that will cover most anything you own.  FWIT, and YMMV, and whatever other cleaver acronyms I've failed to use...............

I really need to look into a new charger..  So much diferent info just from the diferent makers its a deep pool. I got my first AGM batttery last year..  My old 1 amp trickle has kept it going for now, but I keep a eye on it and check voltage all the time. I gotta get something else... but without spending the cost of three new batterys...

I needed a general charger for the garage that would accommodate standard, NSLA, and Lithium batteries.
I ended with the NOCO 26000 and I'm very happy. It's so smart I don't even know how it do what it do. It automatically detects what it's connected to and applies the correct charging scheme. Also has a 'repair' function, 1.5 amps of desulfator.

I got a measly 4A at Harbor Freight for $20 (Guzzi content).  It keeps my Sport at a steady 13.7V on automatic.

I keep a $5 HF trickle charger on my other bikes.

I have a Odyssey Ultimizer (OMAX-12A-1B).  Box says it is for use with PC310/535/625/680/925; 12 amp fast charge for 12 volt batteries.  No longer need it, bought new, used a few times, original box.  If anyone is interested $50 plus shipping, send me a PM.  Thanks, Tom

I'm curious-does anyone have concerns about the charging system in the bike being compatible with the battery?

Good question.  That's addressed in the company Q and A section.
You'll find your answer there.

I have no relationship with the company BTW.

FWIW.

"Hello,

Yes, the NOCO should be fine.

I know they have an AGM setting.

Only reason that is it not on our approved charger list … is that we simply have never tested them.
