Tank baffle foam
« on: July 06, 2020, 10:22:33 PM »
My pending large gas tank for my Corsa Record loop cafe project would probably benefit from some manner of baffling.  This tank will be at least a gallon smaller than the original bike tanks, but still long & large with lots of sloshing room.

Making actual baffles in the tank is one option.  I've also seen foam used by some, supposedly the same product as used in aircraft.  Between the riders and flyers here, is there anyone with experience using such foam inside a fuel tank?  Opinions?  Is longevity an issue with the stuff sold as gas nowadays?

Drag racers, street racers, boat racers and the like have been using this stuff for years. Works great for the intended purpose . If you run alcohol or  fuel then you have to use the proper foam.     https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/15356/10002/-1?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3ueL36G66gIVUdbACh0dLAfrEAQYASABEgKDsPD_BwE
