I hate when that happens.   Good luck and hope it works out, and that this will be just a temporary glitch ... maybe something wasn't tightened down when the vehicle was prepped ... ?

I think thats un usual for a Can Am product. My buddy has a Maverick 1000 turbo, that we regularly flog without mercy in the desert, and its been bulletproof so far. I think they are way better than polaris products, but not quite up to the level of  quality of Yamaha and Honda.
Yamaha's Ultramatic transmission is very good, as well as Honda's new  electronic, dual clutch tranny.
Can Am still uses an old style CVT transmission, and they are a bit tough on belts, especially the higher powered turbo ones.

Right.  My bud's shop sells both Polaris and can-Am wheelers and the warrentee  claims for Polaris is about 10 times that of can-Am.
First thought is poor PDI, but time will tell.

Having worked at Yamaha in Newnan GA where they make their side by sides I can vouch that once in a while some bad units slip thru the cracks. I was in the logistics side and remember having to go and crack sealed containers looking for particular unit numbers that had the wrong parts installed, missing, etc. Sorry to hear about your experience. It’s unfortunately not isolated to a particular brand. Hope they make it right.

BRP (Bombardier) has factories in countries outside of Canada , Rudy's model was probably built in Wisconsin .

Depends what you mean by being built in America or maybe assembled in America from Canadian components or like other international companies owned by Canadian parent company but assembled by Americans to be sold in America from international sourced parts?  Confusing....yes.

I was really surprised at how “domestic” Yamaha 4 wheelers and side by sides, and wave runners were. Pretty much the only parts that were from Japan were the motors. They came over on containers. Some cheap bits were from China. Everything else was sourced pretty much within a 250 mile radius. With the exception of seats that came from Nebraska. One company supplied all the seats for everything. Hope that factory never burns down. It really blew my mind seeing the logistics side how much a foreign company used domestic products and raw materials. And my Dodge Cummins 2500 was made in Mexico. 🤦‍♂️ Not trying to be political, just surprising how things change.

BMW's & Hyundai's made in Alabama.  IIRC.  Honda's made in Ohio.  Cars and Goldwings that is unless they shut the that plant down.  Fords made in Mexico and Canada.  Boeing makes engines & parts in China.

If the law gave you 72 hours to return it it's not your fault they were closed. I'd be on their doorstep for a full refund including all BS fees the first day they open.

I fell bad for my daughter, she told me, dad buy me a good side by side for the farm & me.  You just pick it out, well look what happens on my first choice.  She startes drawingSoc.Sec. in step. 60 yr. old.  And she said she wanted to pay for the side by side if I would buy it.  She watches my wife when I’m gone.  My wife is house bound.Rudy

If nothing else I'd ask for a straight swap to a new side by side of the same model.  Loss of oil and who knows if the engine was damaged during the incident.

Honda moved Wing production back to Japan years ago. For the few Wings they sold it was more cost effective tou reutilize it. The plant makes cars now. Kaw has a plant in Nebraska. Toyota/Mazda building a plant in AL. Mercedes has a plant in AL. Nissan has a huge plant in MS. Toyota has plants in TX and IN.
A friend owns a m/c repair shop. Says Polaris makes a good product but a pita to work on.
Glad the dealer took care of the problem.
BMW has a plant in one of the Carolinas.
