Which California?
« on: July 13, 2020, 10:17:32 PM »
Well, I feel like a Dad at a daughter's wedding. I'm about to watch another guy ride my V7ll Stone into the unknown.
But that leaves a space in the garage! I totally sold on the California 1400, and have just missed out on two this past week. My question to the masses is: which version do I want? The Touring is beautiful. But there's a Custom out there that is almost dressed up like a Touring. And for the same money, there's an Audace with bags.

So what's your opinion? Is there a sweet spot? Or are they all slightly different versions of the same song?

Best,
Greyghost

I vote for the Touring, all the goodies. There's been some real nice ones out there for great prices with low miles.

True. Like I said, I just missed on two with 8000 miles. But someone beat me to the punch. If you know of another, let me know

Are the tire sizes the same as the Eldorado ? I ask this because the Eldorado is one fine handling motorcycle (given it's weight and length , it's excellent handling) . Peter

i had the custom 1400.  i but the touring screen and lowers on, a rack and corbin seat.  loved the floor boards though others might not.  Also, put on Agos.  You can see it in the avatar.  i changed to the v85 but kept the name and avitar.  what a lovely beast she was.

Where are you located?  Zoom Zoom just traded a nicely sorted Eldo with hard bags to Cadre Cycle.
