Today's weather
« on: December 28, 2023, 08:37:17 AM »
Looking good to ride thru New Years
Yesterday's ride was 37 F out and 41 F back.
Comfortable with a kevlar vest under my jacket.

I was hoping to take a New Years ride but it isn't looking good. I might be able to sneak out between storm cells. I will have to see.

So why is it you think 77 is too old to ride when you obviously want to ride every day.

Well, my age is only part of the equation.  My wife rode with me as far as Mountainair (94 mile round-trip if I had not taken a long-cut on the way back), last May.
There are places I want us to go together, with her comfortable, that are farther away, such as our youngest daughter's family in Arizona,
I was thinking of a solo ride to AZ this summer, but that takes time away from her.

If I have the bike, I certainly want to ride it.  Probably not in snow/on ice as I did in New Jersey in 1967 (McGuire AFB) and I avoid rain, primarily because of avoiding extensive cleaning afterwards!

Could not always avoid rain on some previous bikes
