well, vibrations are gone I think
« on: September 19, 2020, 06:30:01 PM »
removed the dyna sensor plate and rotor, checked my flywheel marks and reinstalled dyna bits and timed the lemans.  think I installed the distributor incorrectly the first time as the notch in the center shaft wasn't where it was supposed to be.  instead of the notch at 11:00 seated it was 5:00 seated while the right cylinder was tdc.  seems to be much smoother now.  I can actually see behind me now with my mirrors.  going to go back and sync the carbs again.  also retorqued the heads and adjusted the valves which had tightened up a bit.  bike now has 450 mile since the rebuild. almost time for the oil change.  now that I forgot to order an oil filter when I just placed a big order at mgcycles this week.  is there a cross reference for the oil filter or do need to get it from one of our guys?
thx
