California Special Sport

I recently bought this bike, a 2002 with only 7700 miles on it. I've always liked the looks of this model.
After only a few miles I realized that good looking windshield is horrible to ride behind. What were they thinking? That obviously didn't pass the wind tunnel test. So I replaced it with this.
My main reason for this shield was to keep the bugs and such off the back of the speedometer and tach. It doesn't cut much wind, but it's hard to explain, it seems to smooth the wind blast out. I think it looks ok on the bike. What do you think?

Congratulations on the CSS. And yea, that oem windshield was, for the most part, awful. The one you added looks great on the bike and if it works for you, all the better.
I "think" National made them all those years ago but the Moto Guzzi accessory California Touring Shield (N002?) worked beautifully on both my 1999 and 2000 Bassas. IMHO, the California Touring Shield worked every bit as good as the old Swanee Aerofoil. Unlike the Aerofoil, the CA Touring Shield also looked great on the bike.

Looks good, and with a full coverage helmet, no worries!
Congrats on the new Guzzi!

As a new CSS owner too, it looks good, what brand and model shield is it. Did it bolt right on?

Actwin, I got the shield from Revzilla and the best part was it was only $42. It's a universal fit Puig shield and it easily bolted right on.

That looks much nicer with the little fly screen, IMO. That black tint looks great with the two tone tank!
