So I thought all of the pictures of big hail were a photoshop. That was until I had about 30 of these babies punch through my tile roof today.




I will be a bit happier when I get a tarp over the roof.

There were bigger ones but I was not going out to get them. They looked like they might hurt. I guess that is another typical spring storm in SE QLD Australia.

I will see what I can do, but if not we had an election today, so tomorrow the decisions can be based on rational thought as opposed to perceived voter opinion.

I am up the back of Willowbank, Just of Willowbank drive and we got hammered. I used to live in Shawfield and can only assume you live down there.

More to the point hello fellow Wildgoose. I have a friend in Rosewood who got hammered. He lives up on the hill.

I’ve tried to ride through hail, doesn’t take much to stop that for it hurts too much. I see Beruit got eight inch diameter hail.  I bought a ‘71 RV on a one ton GMC chassis that had severe hail damage so the left side was all beat up.  It made it to some rallies and was a good “res runner” for the occasional run to the Sioux nations. How bad is your roof?

The house roof has about 60 tiles missing or with holes in them. Hopefully it can get a tarp on it today. At least it is fine and hot so can start to dry out. Water damage seems minimal but still soaking through the gyprock/drywall.

There are Kangaroos that could not find shelter. Unfortunately some were hit and died instantly. 
On the plus the shed has a tin roof and the bikes are safe inside .

We still have power and watched the news last night. There were stories about earthquakes, tsunamis, looting and other stuff. It put it all in perspective. I can sit here and still read about my favorite things online and know in a couple of days I can go for a ride in the sunshine.

I live a kilometer away in the same township and we could hear it, but got nothing in comparison.

Im over in Karalee.
5 mins of marble sized hail and some rain.
Armageddon went to the north and south of me.
No trees down this time and the power stayed on, a nice change from recent storms.
Goodluck with the roof repairs.
Seems were in for an "interesting" summer, hopefully not as bad as 2011.
