NGC- Simplex Spitfire
« on: November 07, 2020, 06:31:52 AM »
Well, it was nice to have a few empty square feet in the shop for a couple of days.  Then this popped up for sale and the empty space died a valiant death..

We had one for 20+ yrs that I sold about 5 yrs ago.  I like this one a lot better.  Will see if it will run with a few beers, then go from there.

That's a great idea.   Beer is cheaper than gasoline these days, and most bikes don't run very well on it.   Good old sidevalve, though ....

If you use cheap beer, it's got less alcohol in it than most gas does...

Edit- actually, SOP is to get it running on whatever manner of laquer thinner is in the Sure Shot before any temporary or regular tank with actual gas is used.   Much less potential for problems with fire and destruction.
