Nice Leather Jackets at Wild Guzzi Pricing
« on: November 19, 2020, 08:08:04 PM »
https://www.motorcyclegear.com/street/jackets_jerseys_and_vests/cruiser_leather_jackets_and_vests/speed_and_strength/dark_horse_leather_jacket.html

I got my brown one delivered today.  Nice leather jacket with armor in back, shoulders, and elbows.  You would be hard pressed to find a quality leather jacket at this price.

Thought some of you other bargain hunters might want to give yourself a little Christmas gift.

One warning.  This is not cut for large bellies.  My quarantine body needs to lose a few inches in the gut to not feel constrained.

Images would suggest thin leather, more in keeping with fashion than abrasion protection, and no description to suggest otherwise.

I wear the same brand Textile Jacket.  It's a favorite despite fading from black to purple and replacing the zipper and velcro.

I'm in the market for a leather jacket.   But rather than go for a decent cheap-and-cheerful one this time, I think I'll save my pennies for a top-drawer model.   I hear that it's worth it .....

I've been happy with a couple of Vanson jackets I've gotten. Be forewarned though that if you get the competition weight leather, break in will take a long time--as in years.

The weather here has been perfect for ride with a leather jacket for the past few days. While textiles have their place and really are more functional, riding in a good-fitting, quality leather jacket is a true joy.

Yep.  My Vanson is almost half broken in after 4 years of steady use!

I've had mine for only two years,  it is still pretty stiff.  Great jacket.

This jacket is not for those Stunting or Racing on public roads.  I have race jackets.  They are not comfortable for all day riding.  I wear them when I wear my race leather pants.

This jacket is going to be comfortable and go well with my Kevlar riding jeans.

I have 12 feet of closet dedicated to gear.  Different gear for different riding.

My Hillside Leather horsehide jacket did admirably when I went down a couple of weeks ago. Even though my Kevlar jeans did not fair that well, there was hardly any damage to the jacket. The inside armor did its job.

I'm a believer that skill is what keeps you on two wheels.  Keep your skills sharp.

I also believe that situational awareness is what keeps you out of harms way.  No room for distractions.

Gear is for the freak accidents.  Spilled antifreeze and diesel fuel on the back side of a curve.  Large Animal that runs into the side of your bike.  etc.

The level of gear I wear is based on the level of risk I am riding in and the level of risk I am willing to accept.

I have a High Viz one piece Cordura riding suit for my riskiest touring situations which is passing through large cities.

I have a full leather two piece with full waist zip race suit from my sport bike days.

I have a full Kevlar lined and armored riding shirt and kevlar and armored pants for casual riding on deserted country lanes at sane speeds.

...and just about everything in between.
