New Years Eve, good riddance 2020. plans??
« on: December 30, 2020, 03:33:02 AM »
I will be seeing out the year 2020 by watching the syify channel, The Twilight Zone marathon, as my wife and I always do.  If its decent weather out I will take a shot ride on one of the bikes to town maybe for something to do in the daytime.

Whats everyones plans for this New Years?  Just curious.....Its been a tough 2020 year!

2020 hasn't really had an adverse impact on me, however if you area music fan via Twitch a very talented and practically unknown musician is having a push 2020 in the dam 24hour ish live stream. His name is Mike Mills and the "bands" name is Toehider, you can check them out via youtube. No association other than I like his work. For me dunno yet not much i suspect sees what the weather brings is was 38 today, should come down to a more reasonable 35 tomorrow (Celcius obviously) swim at the beach probablly.

2020 was a quiet year for us.  We traveled a fair amount, all by ourselves.  It was a bit weird, but a good year for us.

2021 ?  We're looking forward to the Moto Guzzi rallys !

 :bike-037:

No special plans for New Year's.

Gotta buy some fireworks for the semi-annual blowing up of the yard and setting fire to it.  🤪

This year was hard- my wife is a teacher- a lot of time spent worrying but so far so good.  I'm looking forward to more riding this year.  I need a break from the real world.  I've been holed up working on bikes (good!) but not seeing anyone (bad)
This year we will drink very good beer, smoke a little and call our friends to say hello.  My Guzzi will be on the lift getting some lovin' soon
Happy New Guzzi Year to a better place!

I've done nothing but work all of 2020, and that's better than not. My Alaska fishing trip got postponed so I'm taking some Vacation time now. I have big plans, I'll drink some wise-guy (whisky) cook something, eat, more wise-guy, sleep get up , repeat.

HAPPY 2021 EVERYBODY! Hope we all get in some mega hard core Guzzi miles and do it SAFELY!

No plans at all...  12:01 will chime in the one year loss of a old, dear friend...  Known him over 36 years, and the wife knew him about 40..  husband of her best friend.. Lost him at 54 the afternoon of new years day last year. Our shitty 2020 started early!!

I agree!  2020 has not been a very good year for us with all the restrictions and cancellations of events.  However, the - - is becoming available so the light is beginning to shine at the end of the tunnel.  I've got a health issue that needs attention but after a few months I'm expecting to be good to go.  So, I'll get my Traveling Calendar out and start to plan when and where to go.

See you down the road.  Ride safe out there.

I always knew I'd get old.  How fast it happened was a bit of a surprise, though.

The plan is  to stay home and enjoy a my wife Nancy's home cooked meal and a bottle of very good Italian wine and some California sparkling wine.
2020 has been interesting for us to say the least.  We, my wife and my 95 yo mom are healthy Thank God, but 2020 has had its share of challenges, everything for fires to the - and a bunch of stuff that has happened to us, all minor but they all add up to make me not sad to see 2020 go.
Hope all of you on here have a great 2021 and please, staf safe and healthy.

Wife and I certainly came through 2020 better than a lot of folks, but not unscathed.  Rather than risk a layoff, wife decided to retire from Delta Airlines.  Didn't get to ride as much as I wanted.  Trip to Europe got blown out of the water by -.  Hope to make that one up this year.  Time will tell.  I'm not getting any younger.  Will get the - as soon as my 60+ not-so-essential number comes up!

2020 hasn't had an adverse effect on me really. I've been very busy working. I've refused to fall pray to the paranoia that's been put out. My hospital experience and my hermit like ways have been helpful. However I am sorry for those who HAVE been effected.

I really miss seeing live music, that's one thing I'll do to get out of my hermit comfort zone. I took all those nights in the local blues bar for granted.

What I wouldn't give to see a blues guitarist play a nice solo right in front of me! Or even a banjo picker!

I've been bluetooth-ing Pandora through my mains.  Especially like the Dr John and TTB channels.
