A look into the newer factory site making the V85TT.  Impressive.  Push the cc tab for translation, that is unless your fluent in Italian.

From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.

I reworded the title.  Funny how no one has looked at this thread since this a Moto Guzzi forum.

Thats a quaint video. How to assemble a 2021 motorcycle 1950's style. Having said that you really can't use mass production techniques only turning out a handful of bikes per day. It left me with the feeling that it would only take 1 assembly worker having a bad day for the quality to suffer.

The video of the assembly line was posted almost 7 years ago, things may or may not be a bit different today.

In 7 years, I think that there are some forum members that haven't seen this.

Thanks for sharing that.  It really adds to my sense of joy over having purchased a Guzzi, and I appreciate the long tradition coming from that factory (where the entire bike is built).  I also liked what the engineer said about "simplicity" -- that was part of what drew me to the Guzzi line.

Humans build bikes for human beings, warts and all.
Robots build bikes for robotic types. If you want bland perfection, you know where to head.
The Guzzi gives you plenty of scope to leave well alone or make improvements.
One of the things I reckon was most worthwhile on mine, was massively reducing the throttle pull. It’s now very light.

The Guzzi factory was maybe more fun to see 25 years ago when it was truly steam punk, sparks flying from brake disc grinding, gearboxes being assembled by one person at a bench etc. Then at the end truly beautiful motorcycles like the Sport Corsas that I remember from my visit in ‘98.

The cafeteria is (or was when I had lunch there once) very similar - 1950s equipment, great food made by people.  Mandello is a historic factory in the middle of a fantastically beautiful area, making motorcycles that reflect who and where they came from.
