I've put it on my calendar.  Anything less than a frog-strangler and I should make it.

The weather man says the the frog-strangler is scheduled for Thursday night through Friday morning.  If the weather blows through early enough, I'll ride down Friday afternoon, but most likely Saturday morning.

Looks like the weather (along with some last minute obligations) are going to squeeze me out.  Have a good time at TWOs.

Looks like Friday will be nice. Saturday the chance of rain increases. And Sunday will likely rain.
I'll pack rain gear.

Well, North Georgia got blasted by lots of rain, and even tornados. But now it is 70F, and the sun came out. So today and tomorrow should be good.
If life doesn't drag me down I will be there.

I'll be there for a Steak and Cheese lunch between rain drops.
180 miles round trip, sure to get a springtime shower.
It's all good on a Guzzi !

I passed on T.W.O. for the Cheaha mountains in Alabama.
Riding in sunshine and eating good food.
Still remember that "cold butt" ride approx 7yrs ago with Muley,Wayne,Bill Hagon and the gang in these very same mountains. Thanks for the memories guys..

Awesome!  Been riding down on the coast which is pretty boring and reminds me how happy I am to no longer be living in Florida.

Ate some good food though.

  That food looks great!
Just got in, 275 backroad miles. I'm beat. Saw some goofy sights including this Ninja with car tire riding the mountain roads.

Cheaha, highest point in Alabama. Plenty of riders out doing there thing.
Even had a dude on a Yamaha school me in the fact that Guzzi started off as a tractor factory. Wow!    Lol.

Riding through Linville, Al saw this 100 yr old funky looking water tower, (click image to see top of tower)

Inadvertently ended up riding 15 miles of the Skyway Motorway (unpaved service roads) pretty much knocking my fillings loose! But thankfully,  this becomes paved and is known as the TalladegaScenic Byway (sort of a mini- Blue Ridge Parkway, great riding!)

All in all, once again, salvaged the day with some wonderful memories!

You should have told him Yamaha started out as a reed organ factory.

How was the Fruithurst General Store?  Did you grab a bite to eat there?
