I hope this works. I have been telling the poor souls in India that will listen Their job is ending July 1st, 2021.  I didn't get any calls today.  Normally get 5 or more.

Looks like my social security # is still being suspended, but no pick up when I press 1.

I also got a call about the medicare card I don't have. That is a new one to me. The guy was relentless and I couldn't phase him... well played my new thick accented adversary .

Verizon recentlysent me a text saying I had enhanced spam detection that should send spam directly to voicemail. It has failed to do so at least three times and been successful zero. Volume of calls seems to be slightly less in the last few days. Mostly new car warranty pitches this week

I must say that If this does work I’ll miss playing the game of an old man with bad hearing and are they calling about the “blind mule my wife put on Craigs list” and if they will give me their name and home phone number I’ll have her call them back when she gets done milking the cow and gathering the chicken eggs😂😂😂😂😂
My goal was to see how long I could keep them on the phone before busting out laughing. I got pretty good at it over the years😂😂😂😂

 45 minutes is my record, once they get a live one on the line they don't want to give it up. I think I could easily break that record but I either get bored or need to do something else.

I find that staying off the Donkey Porn sites reduces the number of phone calls and spam I get.....  Just sayin.....

Amen.  The End of the World as We Know It..... not a daily occurrence, but definitely seems to happen once or twice each decade.

I got a call recently from a Beltone Hearing Aid company wanting to give my mother a new enhanced hearing aids I said fine if you need to contact her she's buried in plot 150 in a cemetery in Meriden Connecticut and she's been dead since 1989 goodbye haven't heard from them since.

Unless I am expecting a call back from someone specific, I don't answer the phone if the caller is not already in my address book.  Since my ring tone is a motorcycle engine I don't mind hearing it ring.  Of course I have the choice to mute it.  If it is someone that is legitimate, they will leave a voicemail.

We set my parents up with a phone system that verbally announces our names when we call so they don't even have to look at the phone.

Years ago I started giving out a fake phone number. When people would ask me for my phone number, I gave them a number that doesn't exist. They don't need my number. I also stopped answering the phone, unless I was 100% certain who it was. The problem just went away.
Answering the phone is likely the worse thing you can do. That instantly signals that you are a legitimate number, and you are on a list now.
