Replacing speedo glass?

I need to replace the Veglia speedometer glass in the V50. It's 1.1mm (3/64") thick and the local glass place doesn't have anything that thin, and isn't even sure they can cut a circle as small as I need (81mm). Has anyone had to do this? I suppose I could go with polycarbonate but I'm not having any luck finding info on cutting a circle out of a sheet of it...

Any good speedo shop should be able to take care of your needs, but they may be few and far between these days with all of the new digital stuff out there.

Wow, that's a great resource. I think I'm set; It took some keyword wrangling but I found an ebay guy selling the glass plus chrome bezels, which are closer to the look I'm going for anyway, plus they're round which mine no longer are :-)

IIRC, he said he could supply new glass when I was down there a few years ago.

I just heard back and he's (now?) a repair only business, no selling of parts. $150 to replace bezel, gasket and glass.

I had a local glass shop cut one out while I waited. Only took them about 15 minutes.
 They then sanded the edge on a big belt sander, and only charged me $20.
