Ikon shocks and Progressive Brand springs? Solved.
« on: August 15, 2021, 10:04:40 PM »
If you have a Ikon/Koni 7610 shock. Will springs of the correct length from Progressive fit the Ikon/Koni?

Thank you,
Tom

Any reason you want to fit the Progressives?
I ask because I've fitted softer Ikon springs to my Konis and they actually work decently now.
They're slightly shorter and I bought 5mm oversize adjusters to compensate, but in the end the new springs work great as is.

Same here. Got softer springs from MG Cycle for my Ikon EV shocks. Much better ride.

These are for my HD. Springs that came with them are too soft, knew that when I got them cheap. MG Cycle is out of what I need and Ikon springs are hard to find. Progressive brand are easier to find, just don't know if the Ikon body and spring ends will fit the Progressive springs.

IIRC, no. Prog springs have bigger ID

That's not an old turd. That looks nice!

Thank you all for the info. I had a feeling they were not a perfect direct fit.

I ended up calling Ikon USA. They had the springs I wanted in stock. Price was a little more than MG Cycle, but reasonable. This way I'm sure they will fit AND I was able to confirm that my spring choice would work on my HD.

Thanks again!!
