V7 II electrical questions

1. Looking for details on the fused circuits.   Owners manual (extremely fine print) lists fuses:
15 amp
15 amp
15 amp
5 amp
5 amp
30 amp



Would like more than generic info.

Owner's manual refers to spares, but not finding them, except 20 amp ABS has an adjacent spare

BTW:  Any idea the purpose of the threaded holes (8 mm) in attached photo?   Threads are bare metal, not painted, so maybe assembly line use??

The only spare is the 20A fuse for the ABS/TC circuit.

I'd suggest getting pdf copies of the owner's and service manuals, as well as the parts manual and wiring diagram.  They're all floating around on the web.  They're loaded with valuable information and they're easier to read than the paper owner's manual.  I'm pretty sure that the circuits for each fuse are in there.

The subject of those threaded holes has come up before.  I don't remember the consensus answer, but they might be for securing some kind of leather tank strap installed on some Racer versions.

Some of the 15amp fuses on the 2TB models at least are evidently marginal, especially on the starter circuit. I carry the range of fuses (never needed them) but have included a couple of 20 amp ones in the armoury as well.

Found info on-line for the Classic and most seems same or close, for a general education, with allowances for known differences, such as 5 speed versus 6 speed.   As you are probably aware, from the XLForum, I like to thoroughly research.   So, I am making some progress.

V7 II info may be more of a challenge, since it was introduced in late 2015 and replaced by the V7 III this year.

Most helpful would be a color wiring schematic.   Until the CANBus, beginning 2014, H-D has been very consistent with wire color codes and I have most memorized.   CANBus required a lot more colors!

I've identified the V7I  sensors, which are different from the V7, as both front and rear calipers have speed sensors for ABS and traction control.
Also figured out how to bypass clutch lever and side stand sensors, if the need should arise.   Unlike the H-D 3 wire (2007 up), it only requires a simple bypass to simulate sensor/switch closed.

I should start a new thread, but next interest is what spares should I stock.   Yeah, I know it is under warranty, but when I bought the Bonneville in 2012 (in California), Las Vegas did not have a Triumph dealer, so I bought a spare CPK and a couple relays.   Never used them (gave them to the moderator of the New Triumph Bonneville forum after I sold it), but preferred to have them available, should they be needed.   

Already changed tail/brake to LED and have a spare H4.

Ok, anything for the Classic with regards to the motor or EFI system is suspect, though more often than not chassis things could applicable.

FYI the Classic (including Café and early Racer) was available through 2012 (in the US) and was the older dual-throttle body motor and EFI system.

Starting in 2012 (EU) and 2013 (US) the single-throttle body (1TB) motor debuted in the Stone/Special/Racer which means revised EFI system, sensors, a number of motor changes etc.

I know there's a 1TB Stone/Special/Racer chassis manual, as well as a separate engine manual.

Wiring diagrams in the PDF manuals are color, but often near impossible to read due to resolution issues.

A gentleman by the name of Carl Allison often redraws the diagrams and makes them available through Gregory Bender's website (www.thisoldtractor. com).

A quick glance shows the 1TB diagram for the V7I but nothing yet for the V7 II.

I would inquire with AF1 or Pete Roper or the like to see if there is a V7II supplement for the V7I manuals.

Kev,   Nowdays the Guzzi Technical site for dealers have high def diagrams for the wrenches, that's where I got mine. Mine stop at the 12'model
