And now for something completely different:  I saw this thing at the Moto Talbott Museum in Carmel Valley, CALIFORNIA

 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bchXaEjyprM

basically a little scooter with a very cool body, for when riding a moped just doesnt make enough of a statement...

I put this together a few years back. It has a Polini 65cc cylinder and reed block kit. Full circle crank and a hand made expansion chamber from the Netherlands. Very quick for for a ped.  Brakes were inadequate. This shot was taken before it was finished and it was wisely sold to buy a bass. Proves I too have a perverse taste in little bikes.

Here is a 1959 Cushman Eagle, (8HP, 2-speed tank shift, foot clutch), that I restored and flogged around the neighborhood a few year back.  Top speed - 30-35 mph downhill....maybe!  I had a lot of fun with that little tiddler! :thumb:

Always wanted a vintage Honda Trail 90...another great little bike!

I saw this one at a swap meet a couple of years back, had a for sale sign on it.
It's still available, PM me if interested. I don't want to post the contact details in the open.

Mate just rang and Saturday's trip is still on. Both scooters all set. I will on the "sport" Quickly with the Honda C100 engine in it. His Norman struggles to do 50 kph so it will be a leisurely trip. :thumb:

Looking forward to it.

Here is a 100cc bike I lusted after as a skinny teenager in upstate NY...and never owned one...but always liked the red frame, chrome tank, etc., even to this day.  The 1970's Hodaka Ace 100 by PABACTO.

Restored examples today go for $2500 and up!! :thumb: :1:   Cool little bike!!

and, just to round things out & loop back to the beginning, a 1954 Moto Guzzi 'Guzzino'.  Real Guzzi, real peddles:

Nope, that's a scooter....no bicycle pedals to make it a moped. Sweet looking ride for sure, looks like the original of that beautiful home built earlier by Green1000s.....look how similar these are

Moped...motor and pedals, useless at both.

'damn, you're right. I was starring right at it and the big starter peddle and 30MPH thing just made me assume it must be a moped,  'should have checked the other side.  'Very cool little bike tho w/ bicycle like wheels & fenders...
